CCTV Cameras and Surveillance Systems

 WHO ARE CCTV FIRST ?

Our small family business began trading in 1992 and developed and expanded from a partnership to a Limited Company in 2000, giving us a total of more than 17 years experience of the CCTV industry. From our origins as installers of CCTV systems to schools and local councils, we began in the late 1990's importing CCTV equipment directly from the Far East and supplying CCTV products directly to customers for self installation.

Drawing on our experience CCTVFirst designed specialist CCTV cables and fittings to make the installation of our professional standard CCTV equipment easy with a minimum of DIY knowledge and tools.

CCTVFirst offers all their customers a free CCTV system design and fitting advice service available via by telephone, email or in person to visitors to our premises in Northallerton ( North Yorkshire).

Within this service CCTVFirst will advise on the correct CCTV camera and CCTV camera lens option for your CCTV system. We will offer advice on the best position your CCTV cameras and how to set them up. We will advise on the best cabling to use for different installation environments and how to make the connecting of your CCTV cameras simple and easy.

We will advise you of the best CCTV DVR (CCTV digital video recorder) to meet your operational requirements and budget. The CCTV DVR is brains of any CCTV system and needs to be off a similar standard and specification as your CCTV cameras.

We supply CCTV monitors and a range of CCTV accessories to complete your CCTV system, including CCTV warning signs.

We encourage our customers to telephone us direct to discuss their requirements and ensure we provide the equipment they need

WEEE regulations

CCTV First  complies with the recently introduced WEEE regulations for customers based in the EU. As a supplier of EEE (Electrical and Electronic Equipment), from the 1st July 2007, we are obliged to take back equipment on an old-for-new basis. In other words, if you buy a system from us, you may return the old one to us so that we may safely dispose of it in accordance with the regulations.

The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive is now UK law. The legislation aims to make producers pay for the collection, treatment and recovery of waste electrical equipment.  The regulations also mean that suppliers of equipment like high street shops and internet retailers must allow consumers to return their waste equipment free of charge.

The amount of WEEE we throw away is increasing by around 5% each year, making it the fastest growing waste stream in the UK.

Recycling reduces the environmental and health risks associated with sending electrical goods to landfill.

Customers must return their like-for-like WEEE item to us within 28 days of purchasing their new item.

Under the WEEE Regulations, all new electrical goods should now be marked with the crossed-out wheeled bin symbol to show that they were produced after 13th August 2005, and should be disposed of separately from normal household waste so that they can be recycled
